Why personal development and self-improvement is important to me (and your clients)
Freelancing wasn’t part of the plan. In 2018, after I’d left my full-time marketing role, I took on a gig by chance, thinking it’d be a one-time thing. But eventually, that one gig turned into another… and another. Before I knew it—and had the guts to admit it—I was running a freelance business. I’m talkin’ everything from figuring out pricing, learning how to market myself, and dealing with all the “What now?!” and “Am I doing this right?” moments that come with self-employment. (Do they ever really go away after success? Let’s be real.)
It wasn’t easy, but having the right resources and guidance allowed me to push past those moments of uncertainty. With the right tools, I learned not just how to build a sustainable business, but also how to build confidence, resilience, and the mindset needed to keep going.
I know firsthand how exciting (yet overwhelming) self-employment can be. That’s why I do what I do. Non-profit Annual Walkathon E-blast
Email Newsletter
My client, a local breast cancer non-profit, wanted to create a newsletter for their upcoming annual event + mention some other events and donor initiatives, but hadn’t reached out to their subscriber list in over a year. Wrote the copy into a MailChimp template and sent it out to over 1100 active subscribers, eventually achieving a 35% open rate and a 3.4% CTR (Click-through Rate). Click image below to view results.
